Twenty-six felony charges were filed today against current and former Sweetwater schools officials, a dramatic start to what prosecutors say could be a widening corruption scandal rocking South Bay campuses. Former Superintendent Jesus Gandara and board member Greg Sandoval each face eight felony charges.
